In this case the brand is defined as manly with the following outline for a series of ‘Train Hard, Shave Easy’ advertisements:

  • Tough, manly, blood, sweat and tears needed to succeed at a sport.
  • Element of sexiness – saucy not overtly.
  • Humour – an element of self-deprecating, table turning humour.
  • No voice over or dialogue.
